ATLANTA – Orkin, Inc., added employees and customers with the acquisition of Tech-1 Pest Control, Inc. in Chicago.
Founded in 1898, Tech-1 Pest Control is currently run by the third generation of the Kaufman family. Brothers Don, Scott and Gary Kaufman have been with the company 20 years and their technicians have tenure with the company ranging from five to 45 years of service.
“We’re pleased to continue expanding our service in the Chicago area,” said Bob Hines, director of acquisitions for Orkin. “The Kaufman family’s commitment to customer service and training align well with Orkin’s values and the company is a great fit for this growing market.”
The acquisition of Tech-1 Pest Control will give Orkin’s Midwest commercial region its fourth commercial branch in the Chicago area. The company’s tenured employees will join the Orkin team in providing local customers with quality service.
