ATLANTA – Orkin recently expanded its employee base and service area with the acquisition of Jermac Inc., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Economy Pest Control in Sidney, Iowa; and Shilling’s Pest Control in Dallas.
In the next six months, JERMAC’s customers will be serviced out of the North Broward Orkin branch in Pompano Beach, Fla. Ten JERMAC employees will join the Orkin team. The company was founded in 1983.
Owners of Economy Pest Control, Dennis and Linda Jordan, will be retiring after 37 years in business. The company will merge into the nearest Orkin branch in Omaha, Neb.
Current owner of Shilling’s Pest Control, Rich Shilling, will stay with Orkin as a service manager and the company will merge into the Prime Pest Management branch in Dallas. Shilling’s has been in business since 1999.
