ATLANTA – Orkin Canada acquired Aardvark Pest Control Services, one of the leading pest control companies in the Calgary, Alberta, area on Sept.1, 2007. The purchase represents one of Orkin Canada’s largest acquisitions to date.
Aardvark, also known as Calgary Exterminators and Pest2Go, was previously co-owned by Jerry Gautreau — past president of the Alberta Pest Management Association and a 25-year veteran of the pest control industry—and Lori Brown. Gautreau will join Orkin Canada in a consulting role.
“We look forward to joining forces with this respected company and adding such knowledgeable professionals to the Orkin Canada team,” said Orkin Canada President Gary Muldoon. “Working together, we will be able to provide a wider service area for our customers and continue to offer the same excellent pest control experience.”
Orkin Canada’s Edmonton, Alberta, branch and two Calgary branches will absorb Aardvark’s current pest control routes.
