ATLANTA, Ga. — Orkin announced that Gary Muldoon, former commercial division vice president, has been named president of Orkin Canada, the company’s $80 million Canadian operation. He will head Orkin Canada’s operations from its headquarters outside of Toronto.

“Under Gary’s leadership, our Canadian team has led the market with superb employee and customer retention, meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals for many years running,” said Glen Rollins, president and chief operating officer, Orkin. “He and his team have been highly influential in the way our entire company operates, and for that we are grateful.”

Beginning his career with PCO Services in 1975 as a pest control technician and salesperson, Muldoon played an integral role during Orkin’s acquisition of that company in 1999, helping to oversee marketing and advertising changes and a sales force expansion. Under his leadership, the bilingual Canadian operation, now Orkin Canada, experienced top-notch employee and customer retention.

After the acquisition, Muldoon helped grow Orkin’s $300 million North American commercial division and Orkin Canada in his position as commercial division vice president. During that time, Orkin Canada has continued to thrive, with over 30 offices and 620 employees serving the country’s more than 7,400 kilometers and six time zones.

Muldoon was recently recognized as a winner of Pest Control Technology magazine’s and Syngenta Professional Products’ Crown Leadership Awards, which are presented annually to individuals who have contributed positively to the growth and development of the structural pest control industry (click here to read the article.) Muldoon was among eight named as 2006 leaders and profiled in the October issue of Pest Control Technology.
