On July 25, Orkin President Freeman Elliott presented a $150,000 check to Mike Ryan, vice president of development with the American Red Cross. From May 24 to June 30, $25 of every new mosquito control service was donated to the Red Cross. As part of this campaign, Orkin also hosted two Red Cross blood drives in Los Angeles and Atlanta in June. Between both drives, Orkin collected 59 units of life-saving blood, which will directly impact the lives of up to 177 patients.
The check presentation took place at the American Red Cross of Georgia, under the leadership of CEO Deirdre “Dee” Dixon. The American Red Cross of Georgia serves 10 million people through a network of eight chapters: Central Midwest Georgia, East Central Georgia, Greater Atlanta, Northeast Georgia, Northwest Georgia, South Central Georgia, Southeast Georgia and Southwest Georgia.
