Orlando Realtor Association Develops WDO Inspection Brochure

ORLANDO — The Orlando Regional Realtors Association (ORRA) has developed a brochure on the WDO inspection.

An ORRA committee consisting of PCOs Jim Maurer, First Choice Termite & Pest Control, Winter Park, Fla., and Joe Higgins, Customized Pest & Inspection Services Inc., Longwood, Fla., created the brochure with input from University of Florida researcher Dr. Faith Oi. Their goal was to provide a resource for educating realtors on the specifics of the WDO inspection process that indirectly should benefit prospective home purchasers.

The WDO inspection brochure is part of a series of ORRA informational brochures that discuss each topic of a real estate transaction such as title insurance, mortgages and home inspections.

The brochures are free to anyone who stops into their office or through any realtor. They are posted on their Web site, www.orlrealtor.com, however that is only accessible if you are a member.

“I think this is fantastic that the Realtors Association has taken the initiative to educate their realtors about this issue,” Maurer said.
