OvoControl® P, a birth control product for pigeons, was originally registered by the State of California in July 2007. The California regulatory authority, the California Department of Pesticide Resources ("CADPR"), mandated certain studies which have now been completed. CADPR has acknowledged completion of the studies and removed OvoControl P from the conditional registration list and the product is now available for use in California schools.
Due to its low toxicity, OvoControl is an ideal component for an Integrated Bird Management program in a school or campus environment, the company says.
