LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - According to recent controlled laboratory studies at CleanZone Systems, ozone was found to be effective in eradicating bed bug infestations.
Ozone, a powerful oxidizer, is considered an environmentally-friendly alternative to pesticides and is safe to use in homes with children and pets. Ozone converts back to oxygen after about 30 minutes, leaves behind no harmful by-products, and acts as a natural air purifier. Ozone generators commonly used in 'high ozone shock treatments' are used to eliminate mold contamination, second-hand smoke, and odors. In controlled laboratory studies at CleanZone Systems, high levels of ozone have been shown to kill a variety of insects including bed bugs.
Housh Khoshbin, CEO of CleanZone Systems, is excited about the use of ozone to combat the increasing bed bug problem across the United States.
"We are very excited about what we have created for the treatment of bed bugs," said Khoshbin. "We believe we have the solution to eradicate bed bugs without the use of chemicals."
