WICHITA, Kan. — Patton Termite & Pest Control teamed up with the non-profit Wichita Animal Action League (WAAL) to provide flea treatments to 25 families in an underprivileged Wichita, Kan., community.
WAAL provided flea and tick medications for the pets, while Patton service professionals provided the flea control work.
Patton was contacted by WAAL’s Kylee Wallentine, who told TV station KWCH, “[Patton] was more than happy to be able to come together as a community and come spray the yards for free.” The team effort provided a service worth hundreds of dollars at no cost.
Wallentine told KWCH that fleas are particularly problematic during the summer. “We have children out here that are trying to play in their yards and they can’t play without being bit. I have residents that go to lay in their beds at night and as soon as they lay down, they have fleas jumping all over them,” he told the news outlet.
Gerry Marsh, president and CEO of Patton Termite & Pest Control, told PCT that Patton was humbled to provide this service to his community and he thanked Syngenta and Control Solutions, Inc., which donated some of the products Patton service professionals used for the treatments.
