NASHVILLE, Tenn. — EcoSMART Technologies announced that Paul Anderegg will serve as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. EcoSMART Technologies manufactuers pesticide products derived from natural plant oils.
“We are delighted to welcome Paul Anderegg to EcoSMART,” said Steven Bessette, EcoSMART’s president and founder. “His extensive accomplishments as the divisional president of two publicly traded companies and his record of generating profitable growth for Fortune 500, start-up and turnaround companies give us enormous confidence in his ability to secure a sustainable future for EcoSMART in the U.S. marketplace.”
Anderegg joins EcoSMART from Angelica Textile Services, where he served as its president from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales and marketing for the TruGreen Companies, a $1.6 billion business. He had previously helped to found and grow TruGreen and All Green, which was recognized as the 95th fastest growing private company in America by Inc. magazine in 1992. Through industry consolidation, Anderegg grew TruGreen/LandCare from zero to $540 million in less than three years with more than 12,000 employees and 160 business locations nationwide.
EcoSMART’s patented formulations are derived from plant oils that harness nature’s own defenses against insects and other pests. “In my mind, there is no question that environmentally friendly pesticides will soon be the only viable products on the market,” said Anderegg. “EcoSMART’s plant-based technology is as effective as conventional products, but it has the added bonus of offering an unprecedented margin of safety to people, pets and the environment. As we go forward, I am highly committed to ensuring that these kinds of products are readily available in the commercial, residential and agricultural marketplace,” he stated.
