Editor’s note: In January, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a Federal Register notice announcing proposed measures to reduce exposures and risks associated with nine second generation-anticoagulant rodenticides. (See [Rodenticide Update] What's Next.)
EPA also extended the comment period an additional two months in order to hear from stakeholders. The comment period ends May 18, 2007. To provide additional information on this important topic and to facilitate additional comments by rodenticide use the Rodenticide Registrants Task Force (RRTF), funded and built http://www.rodentfacts.org. PCOs are encouraged to visit the site to learn more about this important subject or click on the EPA Web site page to directly comment.
