Washington, D.C. — Among the 87 new Republican members of the House of Representatives who were sworn in today at noon in our nation’s capital was Robert Dold, president of Rose Pest Solutions, Northfield, Ill. The first-term Congressman from Illinois’10th Congressional District was swept into office in November on a pro-business platform that resonated with voters on Chicago’s North Shore.
A graduate of Denison University who also holds a law degree from Indiana University, Dold is an active member of the National Pest Management Association and serves on numerous boards and associations where he advocates for small business on a broad range of issues at the local, state and federal level. No stranger to Washington, Dold previously served as an investigative counsel for the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, where he worked on campaign finance reform before joining Rose Pest Solutions.
Additional coverage of Dold’s inauguration and early days in office will appear in PCT magazine. In the meantime, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) already has met to strategize about how to regain the Democratic majority the party lost in November with the election of Dold and his freshman colleagues.
