Lawrenceville, N.J. — In an effort to continue educating the public about bed bugs, research entomologist Jeffrey White of BedBug Central appeared on Animal Planet’s new miniseries “Infested!” to provide an expert perspective on bed bugs.
January 10, the miniseries profiled the stories of individuals who have experienced extraordinary infestations from animals and insects while looking at the science behind the infestations and how the infestations were successfully treated.
White appeared in the, “Bedbugs, Rats, and Scorpions” episode of “Infested!”, which will air Jan. 13 and 14 with additional opportunities to watch. Check your local listings for airing time your area.
When White agreed to participate in the miniseries, one of his primary goals was to deliver educational information while respecting the entertainment value Animal Planet sought to create for viewers.
“When I serve as an expert for drama-driven productions like ‘Infested!’, I take particular care to ensure I’m providing meaningful information to the viewers,” said White. “This information should be both useful and accurately convey the reality of how bed bugs are impacting the public.”
This episode first aired Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. and additional episodes of this miniseries will include pests such as: snakes, mice, spiders, roaches, and raccoons. You can see a preview of the bed bug episode here.
