CLEVELAND — PCT magazine recently captured several awards for editorial and graphics excellence from the Press Club of Cleveland and the American Society of Business Publication Editors.

PCT took home two first-place awards, three second-place awards and two honorable mentions at the Ohio Excellence in Journalism awards ceremony, which took place June 17 and was sponsored by the Press Club of Cleveland.
PCT captured first place in the category Features – General, for its April 2004 Cover Story “It’s a Horse Race.“ The judges commented: “This reporting on a major industry merger would be worthy of inclusion in the Wall Street Journal. Despite the fact that privately held companies are involved, the details and issues are all there. Fine work and good writing.”

PCT Art Director Andrea Vagas was honored with the first-place award for the cover “18 City Rat Myths,” appearing on the front of PCT’s August 2004 issue. The award was given in the Trade & Professional Publications Covers category. Comments from the judges were: “Is that a real city rat? Real or not, it caught our attention.
