The Pennsylvania Pest Management Association will hold its annual conference Nov. 5-6 at the Eden Best Western Resort, Lancaster, Pa.
Featured speakers include a Who’s Who of national and regional experts, including Dr. Dini Miller, a leading beg bug researcher; Dr. Susan Joes, an expert termite behavior researcher; and Dr. Neal Haskell a forensic entomologist.
Dr. Haskell has worked with the state police in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and many other states, assisting them in the establishing of the interval of death based on insect-related clues. He will refer to his vast experience in the field, including his contributions to the FBI investigation following the 1993 destruction of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas.
The program also will feature an off-site session on pest management in hospitals and sensitive environments. This session will take place in the nursing simulation rooms at the Lancaster College of Nursing.
