BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Four police cruisers in Pennsylvania were sidelined after coming in contact with a bed bug infestation, reports The Morning Call.
Bethlehem police were investigating a non-suspicious death at a home last week when they found bed bugs inside the residence, police told the newspaper. The vehicles were taken off the streets for a thorough cleaning.
Bethlehem Police Capt. David Kravatz told The Morning Call that the cleaning was a precautionary measure to ensure the possibility of the bugs spreading. He also cited record high temperatures at the time of the incident, which could foster faster bed bug infestation.
