What was started in 1958 is still with us, and stronger than ever. Our association has changed its name and its focus from “pest control” to “pest management”, but we still cling to our original Code of Ethics, which is found in your membership directory. Our joint membership alliance with NPMA has strengthened us, and has linked our voices with others across the nation.
Across the years, our association has spawned many great leaders at the state and national level: A.E. Ritt, Joe Salino, Joe Kahn, Dr. Stanley Green, Greg Baumann, and Harvey Goldglantz, to name just a few. Each was a major contributor to our industry.
This year, PPMA’s conference, to be held Nov. 18–19, is dedicated to the memory of Len Bruno, PPMA president from 1990-1991, and the man who envisioned and stewarded the creation of our Accredited Wood Destroying Insect Inspector Program: the first of its kind in the country.
Along with great educational presentations from speakers such as Dr. Harold Harlan, Greg Baumann, Paul Bello, Dr. Bobby Corrigan, Fred Whitford, etc., you can also be a part of the best industry trade show in the state.
Because this is a birthday celebration, PPMA encourages attendees to bring their old photos, equipment, uniforms, contracts, etc., to share with one and all. Secure tables will be available for these items.
