FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Joe Wilson, CEO of PermaTreat Pest Control, Fredericksburg, Va., is at home recovering after being involved in a serious car accident, Tuesday morning.
Wilson’s Hyundai collided with a low-boy landscaping trailer (carrying sod) that had become unhitched from a Ford pick-up truck that was traveling the opposite direction on a residential street in Fredericksburg, PermaTreat President Jack Broome told PCT. “From what I understand, the trailer came loose after it hit a bump,” Broome said. “It came right through the top half of Joe’s car, including the windshield and the roof. He is lucky to be alive.”

Broome said Wilson suffered lacerations to his face and that some of his fingertips had to be re-attached after being severed, but beyond that “he is in good shape, other than being groggy from the pain medicine he is taking.”
