LONDON — PestEX 2007 will take place April 18-19 at the ExCeL centre in London’s Docklands area.
Entry into the exhibition is free of charge for visitors. All visitors need do is pre-register by clicking onto the dedicated website at www.pestex.org. The web pages are displayed in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. All those pre-registering will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win the first prize – five days worth of BPCA training.*
PestEX 2007 will be a series of topical seminars covering such issues as waste disposal, pesticide free pest control and the effects of the Biocides Directive. It also includes an international gathering of speakers who will address the topic of bed bug control.
To make international visitors feel really welcome, a special lounge area has been reserved specifically for their use. Multi-lingual speakers will be available to assist visitors. Also, there will be international drinks receptions on the evening of the first day (April 18) and at lunchtime on the second day (April 19). Visitors will be asked to confirm, in advance, if they will be attending either or both events.
To date, nearly 60 organizations have stands booked, with exhibitors coming from the UK, mainland Europe including Scandinavia and from the USA. There will be plenty of networking and socializing. Located within the center of the exhibition hall is a lounge area with refreshments. If a specific meeting room should be required for greater privacy, this can be arranged by the organizers. Then, for a bit of fun, delegates are invited to take part in the laser clay pigeon shooting competition – with the chance of winning a top prize
The ExCeL Centre is situated in the heart of the now fashionable London Docklands – an area which will be a key location for the forthcoming 2012 Olympic Games. The purpose-built facilities, which were only opened in 2000, lie in a stunning waterside location with an array of hotels, bars and restaurants on site. Getting to ExCeL is easy – as it can be accessed by the Docklands Light Railway, by car via the nearby motorways, or, for international travellers, via London City airport.
