Alley said Pestmaster Services is pleased to donate its pest control services to aid the Queens Galley in its mission to feed the needy without having to worry about the additional expenses of pest control. “Every dollar spent on pest control is less food that is able to be put into the mouth of the needy,” Alley said. “The ability to give back to the community to which we belong is a great feeling. I can only encourage other businesses to reach out and help a neighbor.”
Diane Reeder, of the Queens Galley said, “The Queens Galley soup kitchen is funded by donations and support of the community residents and businesses such as Pestmaster Services. We are not government funded which allows us to feed anyone who seeks a meal without having to provide proof of poverty. We believe that anyone who is humble enough to walk into a soup kitchen should be given a meal and not asked for a tax return to prove need. This approach has enabled us to continue our mission to connect working families struggling with food insecurity with resources they need to maintain housing, medical and childcare payments. In 2007 we served 74,058 meals.”
