Highway Watch is a national security program designed to train transportation professionals on what to look for, and how to report unusual or suspicious incidents on roadways. Participants learn to look for DNL’s – code for a situation that “doesn’t look right.” Upon completion, participants receive a unique identification number for reporting incidents immediately to the Highway Watch Command Center that, in turn, notifies law enforcement at all levels.
“We do a lot of government pest control work and these customers have added security concerns,” said Pestmasters Inc. President Jeff Van Diepen.
Pestmaster Services Inc., based in Bishop, Calif. for 30 years, has both company-owned and franchise locations. Van Diepen and Pestmaster franchisees will extend the Highway Watch training to their employees in the coming months.
“We see this as a value-added service we can extend to our customers. It adds another layer of security needed by our government agencies,” said Van Diepen.
