Frishman, a world renowned entomologist and noted pest control expert, trained attendees on “green” pest control methodologies designed to meet the growing needs of environmentally aware customers.
Frishman’s training was titled “The Green Movement” and offered insight into recent “green” consumer trends. Understandings of customer expectations, as well as utilization of environmentally designed pest control products, were addressed. Frishman’s training culminated with emphasizing the responsibility pest management professionals have of providing their customers services designed to help lessen their environmental impact.
Frishman was not the only specialist providing training at PestOne’s Spring Meeting. Other industry leaders, including Joe Andrew, vector specialist, Univar, and Michael Newman, employee relations manager, Univar, facilitated sessions. Andrew spoke on mosquito control training, while Newman’s dealt with progressive discipline, harassment, and privacy in the workplace.
Both owners of pest control companies and their respective technicians were in attendance. Jay Taylor of Jay Taylor Exterminating Co., Inc., remarked “the [PestOne] Charlotte meeting was the most interesting meeting I have ever sat through.”
