FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Adams Bird Control & Consulting helped Department of Construction Management at Colorado State University protect the front entrance of its building from local pigeons. The birds were using Guggenheim Hall’s Corinthian columns to perch on — making the ground around the columns hazardous areas to navigate.
“The pigeons were making a terrible mess, which not only damaged the building, but also reflected poorly on the department,” said Steve Jaouen, building proctor. “Adams Bird Control & Consulting was able to clean up the area, install a solution that prevents the birds from being up there. We know that we’ve done the right thing for both the building and those entering and leaving the building — and the building has retained its architectural integrity and strong presence.”
“We installed bird netting strategically around the tops of the columns,” said Ben Adams, CEO of Fort Collins-based Adams Bird Control & Consulting. “This barred the pigeons from being able to sit up there and cause more mess. The pigeons have now learned that they cannot be there and are no longer posing a threat to the building or passers-by.”
