Plunkett’s Pest Control
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Plunkett’s Pest Control announced the acquisition of Insect Control Specialists (ICS), a family-owned business based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This partnership increases Plunkett’s presence in the region.
ICS was founded in 1948 by Mary and Richard Andersen. After college, their daughter, Leslie Parker, purchased the business and continued the family legacy. Under her leadership, ICS built a loyal customer base of homeowners and businesses alike through a people-first approach, the company said.
“After so many wonderful years in this business, it was important to me that the next chapter for ICS was the right one,” said Parker, former owner of ICS. “I chose Plunkett’s because they share the same values that have always guided ICS-respect for employees and respect for customers. Being a family business themselves, they understand that our customers are more than clients; they’re like family.”
“We’re honored to carry forward the legacy of Insect Control Specialists," said Aly Silva-Mulgrew, president, Plunkett's Pest Control. "For decades, ICS has built a business centered on people — employees and customers alike — and that aligns perfectly with who we are at Plunkett’s. We look forward to continuing the tradition of excellent service that ICS clients know and trust.”
