GREENSBORO, N.C. – Pest Management Systems, Inc. (PMi) was nominated by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro, the Greensboro Science Center and AuthoraCare Collective to receive the Outstanding Business in Philanthropy Award for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Triad Chapter.
Owners Billy and Laurie Tesh received the award at the ceremony on Nov. 21 and were also both recipients of the Spirit of Philanthropy Award.
Since 1987, PMI has provided at no charge the termite pre-treatments for every new Habitat home, which to date is more than 500 homes.
“It has been a privilege of ours to give back to such notable causes for over three decades now. Giving personally of our time through events and our sponsorships, has been so rewarding to see the lives touched and the awareness that is raised for these organizations,” Billy Tesh said. “The work these organizations do to make a difference each day gives us more motivation to continue to give back to them and help the impact reach further
