FAIRFAX, Va. — On Friday, June 9, a story ran in the USA Today that was developed by the Professional Pest Management Alliance in partnership with the CDC. The story, which reviewed rodents and the diseases they carry, ran on page two of the USA Today.
Working with the CDC, PPMA developed and pitched this story which generated press interest (click here to review the press release). With more than 1.1 million readers, plus the pass-along phenomenon of USA Today, it may generate interest in many markets. The press release can be used as a model for PCOs who contact local press to provide them with a local view of the rodent/hantivirus issues
In Redbook’s June issue, there is a feature on bed bugs, quoting NPMA and directing the readers to call a professional if they suspect they have bedbugs. With over 2.4 million readers, this also should generate some interest in multiple market.
