As part of the National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA) mission to educate Americans on pests and the diseases they may pose, NPMA is launching a community education initiative, “Pest Control Goes Back to School.”
As part of the initiative, pest control professionals can visit local elementary schools to discuss pests, pest behavior and ecology, and the importance of protecting your home and health from pest-related threats. Professionals may also demonstrate the new educational website, www.pestworldforkids.org.
“Pest control has significantly improved the quality of life for all ages,” National Pest Management Association Director of Public Affairs Cindy Mannes said. “We have developed an interactive educational resource for children to explore the world of pests and learn about the important ways pest control continues to impacts their lives,” she continued. “On behalf of the association, we’re proud that our members are providing such valuable education in the local community.”
