QualityPro Picks MPB Communications for Public Relations Effort

MPB Communications has been selected to develop and execute a national brand enhancement effort for NPMA's QualityPro program.

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Board of Directors of QualityPro has selected MPB Communications of Orlando, Fla., to develop and execute a national brand enhancement effort for the elite pest management industry certification program.

“MPB Communications is exactly the right organization to help launch QualityPro both nationally and in the markets where we have QualityPro certified companies,” said Andrew Architect, executive director of QualityPro. “The agency has worked with both industry organizations and with local and regional operators for over twenty years and understands who we are and what we do.”

MPB Communications is putting the finishing touches on a marketing and co-branding tool kit for current and future QualityPro certified operators. Concurrently, the agency will be establishing a detailed action plan for both national and local market media outreach as well as a combined community relations platform for QualityPro as a brand and for QualityPro operators.

“We couldn’t be happier or more proud that we’re being given the opportunity to help expose QualityPro in both targeted commercial segments and to the broad consumer market,” said Bud Brewer, president/CEO of MPB Communications. “Our goals are to help elevate QualityPro attributes for business operations, environmental stewardship, consumer relations and sales and technician training so as to make them the standard by which selections are made.”

At this writing, just over 150 pest management businesses are certified QualityPro, with another 120 moving through the certification process. To become certified QualityPro, a business must complete a rigorous self-examination and testing process and must agree to submit to random audits so as to ensure adherence to QualityPro standards.

“Our goal is to have 500 companies certified QualityPro by the end of 2008,” said Andrew Architect, QualityPro Executive Director. “We’re also pushing for recognition of QualityPro as the bar by which the best in our industry are measured.”
