The New York Post reports that the city's food cops shut down the Papaya King hot-dog shop on the Upper East Side a day after a TV program showed rodents on the premises.
The Health Department inspection found evidence of roaches and other "conditions conducive to vermin" at the famous tiny eatery at 179 E. 86th St.
The 88 violations also included food stored or prepared at the wrong temperature and "contaminated food."
The report aired Tuesday on "Inside Edition."
