The National Pest Management Association was recently featured in a Reader's Digest article detailing how to bug-proof a house.
The article contained a list of tips for keeping bugs out of homes and away from food. Cindy Mannes, vice president of public affairs for NPMA was also quoted.
"It's good practice to periodically empty cupboards and clean them with soap and water to get rid of any bugs that may be hiding inside," Mannes said. "As you dig through your pantries in search of baking ingredients, it's important to check expiration dates and make sure the packaging of all items has not been tampered with."
