READING, Pa. — Rentokil Steritech announced its acquisition of Mosquito Control Services of Metairie, Louisiana. The acquisition further expands Rentokil Steritech’s fast-growing vector management division. The deal was finalized in the fourth quarter of 2018; terms were not disclosed.
As one of the largest vector control companies in the United States, Mosquito Control Services (MCS) operates ten offices in five Southeastern states. MCS joins Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) under Rentokil Steritech's vector management umbrella.
MCS was acquired in 2014 by Scott Capital from its original founders. Under the leadership of President Steve Pavlovich and COO Sam Stines, MCS has grown to be one of the leading government mosquito control contractors in the United States.
“We are excited to add Mosquito Control Services and its staff expertise to our expanding vector control business,” said John Myers, President and CEO of Rentokil North America. “As climate change continues to ripple across the environment, vector-borne diseases are increasing threats in North America and around the globe. We are proud to have MCS join our team to be part of protecting the health and welfare of our customers and the public at large.”
“In contemplating the future of our company, the combination of Mosquito Control Services with VDCI was a tremendous opportunity for synergistic development and innovative growth in the vector segment,” commented Steve Pavlovich, President of Mosquito Control Services. “Our team is very excited about the opportunities that the integration of MCS and VDCI under Rentokil Steritech will create for our people, our customers, and our industry. Rentokil Steritech’s national footprint and global resources give the combined vector division the ability to reach a broader market while providing our clients unparalleled, science-based service on the forefront of technology. Both companies have a strong history, and together we have an even stronger future.”
Paul Giannamore of The Potomac Company acted as exclusive financial advisors to Mosquito Control Services. Andy Robison of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP acted as legal advisor to the Company.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
