The contract resulting from this solicitation shall be for a base period, with the option to renew for four (4) additional one- (1) year periods. The Contractor shall provide all supplies, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, management and transportation to perform the Pest Management tasks. All work will be performed in accordance with the guidelines established by Federal, State and local ordinances and as shown in the National Pest Control Association's Good Practice Statements. Description
This request is for information only and is not a Request for Proposal.     The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Mid-Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Virginia, is hereby soliciting notices of interest from potential 8(a), HubZone small business, and Service-Disabled Veteran small business sources to provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to provide pest control services.     These services shall include, but not limited to, the prevention and control of unwanted vegetation and invasive plants and nuisance, structural, lawn, ornamental, medical arthropod and vertebrate pests, including but not limited to cockroaches, termites, ants, fleas, silverfish, mosquitoes, mice, rats, bees, wasps, pigeons, and nuisance birds at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA, the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, VA, and other military installations located within the MIDLANT (southeastern) region of Virginia.

The proposed contract will be a combination Firm-Fixed Price and Indefinite Quantity type contract with Award Term Options.     Award term options are options that are based on contractor performance.     Additional information related to this procurement will be available once the specifications are posted at the following web site, http://esol.navfac.navy.mil.     This solicitation will be available in electronic format only.esol.navfac.navy.mil website.     A Source Selection contract is anticipated.     The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 561710 with a size standard of $6.5M.    

Interested sources should provide a letter of interest via e-mail in Microsoft Word format to:     Pamela.waller@navy.mil.     The letter should include the following:     1) Name and address of firm, 2) Size, status, program, if applicable (i.e. Small Business, 8(a), HubZone, Service-Disabled Veteran, Woman Owned) including type of business and total number of employees, 3) Ownership, 4) Year firm was established, 5) Name of two principles to contact, including title and telephone number, 6) Brief description of previous experience that relates to this requirement.     Include approved NAICS for your firm.     Information from all interested parties should be received no later than November 9, 2006.     This sources sought notice may be amended at a later date to include additional information.
