CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: The VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, Virginia has a requirement for on-site Nuisance Wildlife Services, to trap and dispose of nuisance rodents and/or animals (to include woodchucks, groundhogs, skunks, raccoons, foxes, pest bird control; inside building and vent removal of squirrels, snakes, geese and nests). Contractor shall inspect the grounds including the pond area at least once per week; shall provide fish pond management for the two ponds located on VAMC property, to include annual restocking of pond?s management fish species and managing special algae?eating Carp to control pond algae growth. Services to be provided 24 hours a day/7 days a week with one hour response on grounds required for emergent eradication of nuisance wildlife. Contractor shall set traps (traps to be provided by Contractor) on an estimated 200 acres of the VAMC grounds and are to be checked on a daily basis at 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and must be removed within one hour of contract from VAMC personnel. Contractor shall provide these services under the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Commercial Nuisance Animal Permit and must have all other licenses/certificate required by Federal regulations or Commonwealth of Virginia law. It is the VA?s intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The applicable NAICS Code is 114210 with a size standard of $3.5 Million. Contract period will be one year from date of award with four available option-year periods.
