Property owners in San Luis Obispo County can soon expect a ballot in the mail asking them if they want to increase their property taxes to pay for a vector control program, The Tribune reports.
County supervisors Tuesday approved a Proposition 218 ballot measure vote. If approved, $1.1 million a year would be allocated to controlling mosquitoes and other pests that spread disease.
The ballots are expected to be sent out in mid-May.
