Residex Supports VFW Hit by Graffiti

Residex's Chis Donaghy and Jim Hespe took time out of their schedules to remove graffiti from a local VFW.

CRANFORD, N.J. - Chris Donaghy is well known for his patriotic stance in the business world requiring his employees to "Buy American" with Residex dollars whenever possible, creating programs to support his employee’s relatives serving overseas and even writing poetry inspired by those Americans who have volunteered to serve. So after learning that a local VFW was hit with graffiti by local teens he vowed to help out.

On a cool Spring morning, Donaghy along with Vice President Jim Hespe, both dressed in work clothes, went out to the VFW equipped with a power washer and graffiti removal products. They went to work on the building in Manville and they were able to remove the damage from the brick building and VFW sign that were left by local teenage vandals who tagged businesses and homes in the town of Manville, N.J.  Donaghy and Hespe took time out of their busy schedules to personally perform this work gratis for the local VFW.

“I was happy to come to the aid of a local New Jersey VFW in need,” said Chris Donaghy, Residex President.  “It’s unfortunate that these young people showed such disrespect for a group of individuals that have sacrificed so much for our country. “

Jim Wisor, a trustee for the post and a retired Lieutenant Colonel for the Army recently back from Afghanistan said, “We are very grateful that Residex sought out the VFW to remove the graffiti. It was a large burden that was lifted during these tough economic times and with the proposed ordinance that Manville was considering requiring businesses to remove graffiti within a certain timeframe.”
