WILKES COUNTY, N.C. – Rid-A-Bug Exterminating announced the hiring of Emilio Polce as director of training and development.
Polce began his pest management career in 2001. He spent the next nine years working in various leadership roles for the two largest pest control companies. In 2004, he served as legislative chair on the Connecticut Pest Control Association (CTPCA) Board of Directors. In 2010, Polce leaped and ventured out as an entrepreneur, opening up EcoChoice Termite and Pest Control.
After several years of building his company, Polce served as vice president and a two-term presidency from 2015-2018 for the CTPCA Board. His passion and commitment to serving the industry expanded nationally in 2017 when he was accepted into the National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA) inaugural Executive Leadership Program (ELP).
After graduating from the ELP program in 2019, Polce joined the NPMA Board of Directors as associate director. He was recently re-elected to serve in this role for the 2022-2023 term. In addition to his state and national board involvement, Emilio is actively involved in committees and served in the marketing to membership as vice chair and chair. Polce is part of NPMA’s inaugural Leader Launch Program, graduating in June 2024.
Polce is passionate about serving those within the industry and giving back to those who have helped him along his entrepreneurial journey, the company said. He credits much of his success to those who have surrounded him at both the state and national levels, and hopes to do the same for those forthcoming, he said.
At home, Polce is the proud father of five children, and is actively involved in coaching youth baseball.
Based in Wilkes County, NC, Rid-A-Bug has served the region since 1972 and have earned certifications from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, the National Pest Management Association, the North Carolina Wildlife Commission and the North Carolina Pest Management Association.
