Slatter previously worked with Sumitomo Chemical Company’s Vector Control Organization where he was responsible for the global business development of the Olyset® Net, working with organizations such as the World Health Organization and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the fight against malaria.
Prior to joining Sumitomo, he served in both commercial and technical roles including as director: Active Ingredient Sales and Vector/Industrial products for Bayer Environmental Science in the U.S. and its legacy companies (Aventis, AgrEvo, and Wellcome/Roussel UCLAF) where he worked closely with members of today’s ESD team.
In his new role, Slatter will be overseeing VBC’s efforts to identify, acquire, and/or develop new solutions to meet customer needs in the non-crop markets that ESD serves. His responsibilities will also include leading the formulation and product development activities working together with Dave Jeffries, Senior Formulation Chemist, and his team at VBC’s Long Grove R&D facility.
