CONWAY, S.C. - Rockit Pest recently acquired Ace Exterminating after former owner Chris Powell made the decision to return to the U.S. National Guard for deployment. With the decision to return to the National Guard, Powell said that selling Ace Exterminating would be the best option for his family and for their customers.

"I’m going to miss serving my customers, but I’m excited for them to experience the benefits this transition brings," he said in a press release.

Powell is no stranger to the military lifestyle. He has served in the National Guard for the last 15 years with deployments to Kuwait and Afghanistan.

As a small, family-owned business, and short notice of deployment, Powell knew he would have to act swiftly to make the right decision for Ace. In many cases, selling a company can take months to finalize, and for Powell, time was of the essence.

“Personally, I can’t thank Rockit enough for their help and timeliness, given the nature of my departure," Powell said. "In speaking with previous sellers, I know Rockit truly cares about my team and customers, so I know our loyal patrons will feel right at home."

Ryan Bradbury, CEO of Rockit Pest, said in a press release that the company has the ability to move quickly on a sale for people in positions like Chris who are working with a tight deadline.

“[Chris] and his family are outstanding people and the fact that he is deploying soon to serve and protect our country says so much about what he stands for," said Bradbury.

"We wish him a safe deployment and can’t thank him enough for his service. I want Chris to take comfort in knowing that Ace’s customers are in great hands at Rockit” Bradbury added.
