CRANBROOK, British Columbia, Canada — In just three days, power has been disrupted at least five times for as many as 6,000 B.C. Hydro customers in the southeastern city of Cranbrook.
On Tuesday, a scampering squirrel came to a electrifying end and, at the same time, cut power to the area.
Then on Wednesday, a Canada goose flew into a power line in the Elizabeth Lake area, kicking out the breaker.
Finally, early Thursday morning, a rat shorted out equipment that plunged the Bull River and Wardner areas into the dark.
