Rollins Inc.’s net income was up 8.7 percent in the second quarter thanks to higher revenue from its pest control companies.
Atlanta-based Rollins had net income of $27.7 million and earnings of 28 cents a share, compared with earnings of $25.5 million and earnings of 26 cents a share in the second quarter of 2009.
Second-quarter revenue was up 5 percent to $298.8 million.
“Our second-quarter results reflect the benefits of our marketing and sales programs with all major brands enjoying solid revenue increases,” said Gary W. Rollins, president and CEO of Rollins Inc.
Rollins operates Orkin, Crane Pest Control, PCO Services, HomeTeam Pest Defense, Western Pest Services and The Industrial Fumigant Co.
