ATLANTA — A state-of-the-art commercial and residential training center, a live broadcast studio and a walk down memory lane were all highlights of the Rollins on-site facility tour at this month’s NPMA Women’s Forum in Atlanta.
Led by Rollins’ Chris Gorecki, vice president of operational support, and Hayden Holmes, learning and development specialist, attendees started at the live broadcasting center to watch a behind-the-scenes training session.

Holmes said on average 5,000 PMPs have used the face-to-face training modules for leadership development, and training on topics such as termite treatment, new products, and services. The different training courses are available to the 22 pest control companies in the Rollins family of brands.
“Here, we focus on the one thing that grows this business, and it’s the people,” Holmes said. “We do as much as we can to broadcast, but each brand has their own training. We can do everything — fumigation, wildlife, lawn care.”
Gorecki said Rollins started in pest management with the purchase of Orkin in the sixties. Today, the company has brought in dozens more companies to join its family of brands. “We now have the ability to be more agile in how we serve customers and bring talent into the organization," he said.
“The size of our organization allows us to create scale and provide centralized support to our brands, and share best practices throughout the organization,” Gorecki said. “Consistency and continuous improvement are always a focus.”
A state-of-the-art commercial facility and three-story residential training facility are on-site for in-field training. Outside entities like health departments also use the center for walkthrough inspection training.
A store training center, focusing on product pest training, and a bird control training space for exclusion work, are available for continued learning support.

Attendees got to walk through the Heritage Center, a historical museum in the building that includes a lifelike cockroach statue, vintage Orkin vehicles and historical memorabilia about the company’s beginnings.
Rollins Hall of Fame wall captured snippets of PCT magazine articles from issues like PCT’s Top 100 and Crown Leadership Award winners over the years.
Forum attendees also had the opportunity to visit Arrow Exterminators’ headquarters.
