Rollins President and Chief Operating Officer John Wilson knows firsthand what it is like to be an Orkin Man. He climbed the ranks as a sales inspector, branch manager, region manager, division vice president, division president and president of Orkin before landing in his current role. But, it has been several years since he has had the opportunity to immerse himself in field work, interact with customers and observe employees' behaviors. So what better way to see what is happening in the field than to participate on CBS's Undercover Boss?
Now in its 4th season, the hit reality series follows high level corporate executives as they go undercover to work anonymously with their company's frontline employees and gives them the chance to learn more about their company firsthand.
The Orkin employees in the episode were told they were part of a new reality show and that contestants were visiting companies that have thrived over time, trying to learn best practices from our business.
"It was a lot of work and not a lot of sleep as an Orkin Man," he said. "But it was great getting out into the field to work alongside some top-notch employees on Undercover Boss. I could not be more proud to work for Orkin and lead such a fine group of people."
John Wilson transformed into Bob Knox. Stylists started with gluing a hair "System" onto his head. His facial transformation was completed with a yak-hair goatee, eyebrows and a gold stud earing.
