Rose Pest Solutions
Northfield, Ill. – As part of its ongoing commitment to support United States veterans, Rose Pest Solutions and sister company Franklin Pest Solutions employees donated hundreds of clothing items to veterans being served by Hines VA Medical Center in Hines, Ill., 12 miles west of downtown Chicago.
"Rose has always welcomed veterans to our industry and is proud to help veterans in need,” said Curtis Rand, president of Rose Pest Solutions. “Rose is also a founding member of the Illinois chapter of PestVets, an organization that helps veterans know about opportunities to work in the pest industry as they leave the military and start careers in civilian jobs.”
Hines is the largest VA hospital in Illinois. More than one million veterans reside in the state.
Roughly 10% of Rose employees are veterans, including Dr. Stan Cope, affectionally called Dr. Stan the Mosquito Man, who served as director of the Armed Forces Pest Management Board and director of pest management in Washington D.C. where he had oversight of all aspects of pest management for the Department of Defense.
The clothing donation is one of a number of initiatives Rose Pest Solutions assists with throughout the year to support veterans.
