Russell Templeton Joins Bell Laboratories as Territory Manager for Western Canada

In this newly created position, Templeton will represent Bell’s rodent control products to Bell distributors and pest control companies in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

MADISON, Wis. — Russell Templeton joined Bell Laboratories in January as territory manager for western Canada. In this newly created position, Templeton will represent Bell’s rodent control products to Bell distributors and pest control companies in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Templeton will handle all facets of business in western Canada, including product and promotional support to help distributors develop markets for Bell products. His responsibilities include training distributor sales staff and pest management professionals, providing in-field technical support to control difficult rodent infestations and representing Bell at national industry shows and distributor sales meetings.

He also will work closely with distributors and customers of Motomco, Bell’s sister company, representing products to the agricultural market in western Canada.

Templeton brings both marketing/sales and pest control experience to his new position.

After earning a diploma in marketing management from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1983, Templeton spent much of his professional career in business development, event planning and marketing/public relations for the ice hockey industry.

He worked for nearly a decade, including two years as marketing and public relations director for Planet Ice, one of North America’s premier hockey facilities in Delta, British Columbia. He also developed and implemented strategies to market, advertise and promote a junior “A” team in the British Columbia Hockey League.

Since 2001, Templeton managed key commercial and residential accounts for North Shore Pest Detective in Vancouver, building relationships within the pest control industry in western Canada.

“Having worked with Bell products as a PMP for more than six years, I know first-hand about the quality of the company and its products,” Templeton said.

Based in Vancouver, Templeton will work closely with Bell’s Alex Chan, who was recently promoted to the position of national manager for Canada.
