WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The 89th annual Purdue Pest Management Conference will take place Jan. 13-15, 2025, at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., and Pete Schopen was announced as the chairperson for the annual conference. The second generation pest professional was asked to step in and help guide the steering committee this year.
“We are looking forward to adding some exciting features to the Purdue Conference in 2025.” said Schopen. “Purdue is the grandaddy of all pest conferences and we want to make it exciting this year.”
Among some of the add-ons this year will be "fire-side chats" for vendors to talk more about their products, a bags-tournament for the technicians and on-stage games for attendees. Business Development Director Suzana Palaska shared more about the slate of speakers.
“Paul Bello (PJB consulting), Alan Feuer (Preventive Pest), Dr. Nina Jenkins (Aprehend), Mark Vanderwerp (Rose Pest), Foster Brusca (Pest Posse) and Dini Miller (Virginia Tech) are just some of the outstanding experts we will have at this year’s three-day event," she said.
The theme for the 89th Purdue Conference is “Moving at the Speed of Technology," incorporating many talks about innovations in the pest control world.
