WOODLAND, Calif. - Inspection Implements announces the addition of a sharp point adapter for its flagship product – The Prober.
Termite inspectors, whole house inspectors, home appraisers, and house painters know that fungus and termites damage wood. Sometimes this damage is obvious, but often it is hidden just under the surface of the paint, between two wood members, or where wood members come in contact. The sharp point adapter was specifically designed to find this damage. With its sharp tip, inspectors can investigate beetle exit holes, termite galleries and perform a “pick test” on deck boards and other wood members. Without the adapter, the blunt tip can be used when inspectors want to ensure they won’t cause cosmetic damage to sound wood. The Prober has universal threads at the back end that allows it to be attached to any extension pole making inspection of second story trim and roof eaves safer and faster by eliminating the use of a ladder.
