DANVILLE, ILL. - Smithereen Pest Management Services announced its acquisition of Service Termite & Pest Control, serving Danville, Champaign-Urbana and Crawfordsville.
The acquisition took place at the end of 2019. Scott Siefert, Smithereen’s director of sales and marketing, said existing Service Termite & Pest Control customers can rely on the same safe, reliable and competent treatments that the company has been offering at affordable prices since 1993.
“We already provide exceptional service to customers in seven different states and we’re proud to be able to expand into serving Champaign-Urbana, Danville and Crawfordsville,” Seifert said. “We are confident that customers will be pleased with the merger of the same great service they’ve known for years and the knowledge and expertise of our fourth-generation-owned company.”
Smithereen has been serving customers since 1888, when first-generation owner E.R. Jennings, a Chicago pharmaceutical salesman, developed an effective non-toxic solution to protect from lice and fleas. The former Smithereen Exterminators continued to evolve throughout the years and in 2001, Smithereen Exterminating Company – America’s Pied Piper, became Smithereen Pest Management Services – Your Partner for a Healthy Environment.
