TACOMA, Wash. – Sprague Pest Solutions recently announced the hiring of Darren Van Steenwyk, B.C.E., as regional entomologist in the Northern California district.
Van Steenwyk brings more than 20 years of experience in the pest management industry, with an extensive background in legislative policy. As a board-certified regional entomologist and former president of the California Structural Pest Control Board, he will work closely with Sprague's team to provide technical expertise and support in the training and development of Sprague employees.
"It’s an honor to have Darren join our team," said Ashley Roden, Sprague's technical and quality assurance manager. "His deep understanding of pest behavior and his passion for teaching will be invaluable in helping us continue to deliver exceptional service to our team and clients."
Van Steenwyk holds a master degree from University of Florida with an emphasis in pest management, and is a graduate of University of California Davis with a bachelor degree in biological science.
He is a frequent speaker at pest industry conferences and has served on various committees on the national and state level.
