Sprague
Alfro Inocente, originally from El Salvador and a first-generation college graduate, holds a master's degree in entomology from The Ohio State University and a bachelor's in food science & technology from Escuela Agricola Panamericana, Zamorano in Honduras. Before joining Sprague, she contributed her skills as a visiting scientific specialist at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
Her research has primarily focused on mosquitoes, making significant strides in pest and pest management. In May 2023, she was honored with an NPMA Impact Award for Women in Pest Management, highlighting her contributions and leadership in the field. She is the fifth team member at Sprague to hold a B.C.E. certification.

The BCE certification is awarded to entomologists who meet the standards of education, experience and ethics set by the Entomological Society of America, showcasing their proficiency and commitment to the field of entomology.
