DES MOINES, Iowa — Springer Pest Solutions announced that Chris Mills is the fifth Springer employee to achieve the Associated Certified Entomologist (ACE) status. This designation is earned through a study and testing program sponsored by the Entomological Society of America.
Chris Mills, Sales Manager for Springer’s Des Moines office, has 15 years experience in the pest management industry and holds a degree from the University of Arizona. He and his family live in West Des Moines.
Jim Gilmore, Steve Thompson, Russ Kern (service technicians) and Jon Keiderling (service manager) have previously earned the ACE designation at Springer.
“We feel the ACE designation helps our employees increase their academic and professional credibility with our customers,” said Jeff Springer, owner of Springer Pest Solutions.
To qualify for the program, an individual must have seven years of verifiable pest management experience, a current pesticide applicator’s license and the ability to pass a test on entomology and structural pest management. The ACE exam is designed to identify practicing pest management professionals with a solid grasp of the practical aspects of applied entomology, the study of insects. Those achieving the ACE designation also subscribe to a Code of Ethics that upholds and honors the dignity of the profession.
